Catania Football Team Catania, Italy
Head Coach (Offensive and Defensive Coordinator)
*Working on an off season for the Elephants, I decided to work in 3 phases:
1.) in the first phase, I began working on the big team by putting them on an OFF-SEASON program: weight training program and a speed program. They were tested for strength and speed once a month over the last four months. On the track and field sprinting program the results were great with the average time for each player dropping .2 in the 40 yard dash.
2.) Phase 2 recruitment: I practiced about 90 possible new players over four months during recruitment. After the 4 month process, some players were added to the big team, but more importantly, an establishing of an under 21 team.
3.) Phase three, I worked on off season technique program with the big team.
01/05 – 06/05 Federazione Italiana American Football (Italian Football League)
Catania Football Team Catania, Italy
Head Coach (Offensive and Defensive Coordinator)
*Highlights included the Number 1# ranked Offense and the 5th ranked defense.
The Offense supported the Number 1# rusher in the country. Team was 5-2 in the regular season in easily the toughest division and 1-1 in the playoffs eventually losing in the Semi-finals, with all loses going down to the final moments. I made tremendous technical changes in their offense and their players. It with my offense as he would have added easily another 100 yards a game just by completion percentage. It is important to say how should be said 4 players from that offense went, started and starred on the National Team of Italy after the season,,,the running back, 2 receivers, and the Quarterback. None were on the team before, but were selected after our season.
