The Russian team, with it’s roster almost exclusively made out of players from the Moscow Patriots, dominated from the start and stopped Serbia completely.

Pavel Khoroshilov ran for one, and Maxim Tregubov cought a touchdown apiece in the first half, when Russia built a 14:0 lead. Both finished the game with two scores. Between the two first half touchdowns, RB Marko Đanić of Serbia was tackled in the end zone for a safety, after Serbia stopped Russia on four tries on their own 1 yard line. Serbia was only two touchdowns behind, because Russia missed both of their extra point attempts.

The second half was marked with turnovers.

After his second interception, Čaba Juhas was benched for Nemanja Trajković who finished the game with three. The Russian team played with all three quarterbacks with Jason Senior getting the start. Both teams also fumbled several times. The Russian team, with it’s roster almost exclusively made out of players from the Moscow Patriots, dominated from the start and stopped Serbia completely.

Senior passed for a touchdown in the first half and also got a touchdown after he intercepted a pass in the third quarter and scored. In the final period, Khoroshilov scored on a touchdown run once more, as did Tregubov who this time around caught a pass from Alexander Dyuzev.

Had Serbia played a little better they might have scored and reduced the deficit, but a win was very unlikely because the Russian team was visibly better.

Igor Hoffmann, Serbia’s coach:
I think the difference between us and them is visible – in strength and technique. They’re a team that’s been together for a long time, and we had two practices together. They are a notably stronger team, and there’s even more work ahead of us.

Vasiliy Dobriakov, Russia’s coach:
It was a great game, guys from both teams played with a lot of heart. Serbia had problems on both the offense and defense. I said before, Serbia has great athletes and has just started it’s football program. We have been playing longer and today was almost a good day for us.
