2007: Started all 13 games at defensive tackle and made 39 stops while helping eat up blockers to keep the UConn linebacking core free to roam … Had five TFLs, 3.5 of which were sacks, recovered a fumble and broke up a pass … Turned in a pair of four-tackle games to close the season against Syracuse (Nov. 17) and West Virginia (Nov. 24), also recovering a fumble against the Orange … Earned the defensive game ball against Rutgers after making seven tackles, including a nine-yard sack and a split TFL … Also made seven tackles the previous week against USF (Oct. 27) … Recorded five tackles against Louisville (Oct. 19) … Had a sack amongst his three tackles at Pittsburgh (Sept. 22).

2005: Appeared in all 11 games as the long snapper for both punts and place kicks…Also saw limited time during the season at defensive tackle…Assisted on two stops, one each against Liberty (Sept. 10) and West Virginia (Nov. 2) with the Liberty tackle being for a loss…Named to the BIG EAST Academic All-Star Team.

2004: Redshirted…Named the Defensive Scout Team’s Player of the Week prior to the Syracuse game (Oct. 30).

High School: Named second-team All-State and first-team All-Greater Rochester as both a junior and senior…The Co-Player of the Year in Section V…Set a school record with his 14 sacks in 2003 while also contributing 76 tackles and three blocked kicks…Also served as a long snapper at Penfield Central…Was a team captain in football and also lettered in hockey and lacrosse…An Honor Roll student who has participated in numerous community activities ranging from the Empire State Games for the Physically Challenged to D.A.R.E. to Lawyers for Learning, which promotes educational values in inner city elementary schools.
