Bouah bleibt ein Viking

Der blitzschnelle Italiener ist zum aktuellen Zeitpunkt – neben Center Daltrey (UK) und Runningback Pajarinen (FIN) – der dritte europäische Importspieler am Roster des Meisterteams aus Wien.

Mit 680 Receiving Yards und 6 Touchdowns führte Bouah die Gruppe der Wiener Wide Receiver in diesen Kategorien nach der Regular Season an. Unvergessen ist sein spektakulärer 90 Yards Touchdown im spanischen Reus, der den Comeback-Sieg der Vikings über die Barcelona Dragons markierte.

Nun stellt Bouah seine Talente eine weitere Saison in den Dienst des amtierenden Meisters aus Wien und macht seine Absichten und ambitionierten Ziele für das Franchise auch klar: „My expectation for the Vikings is to win it all again and even go undefeated during the regular season.“ Auf persönlicher Ebene will der Paradeathlet (180cm, 88kg) seine eigenen Erwartungen erfüllen, will dabei sowohl on der Offense als auch in den Special Teams noch produktiver und wirkungsvoller sein. „The field will tell the rest.“, so Bouah, der 2022 auch zum Second Team All-Star der European League of Football gewählt wurde.

Für Jordan Bouah markiert 2022 und seine erste ELF-Saison eine besondere Zeit in seiner bisherigen Karriere. Er zieht unter anderem Vergleiche mit seinen vorherigen Stationen in der GFL (Dresden und Braunschweig), der CFL (Ottawa Redblacks) und der italienischen Liga (Rom, Bozen und Mailand):

„This past season in Vienna has been special because as I said throughout the year the chemistry and the awareness, we had was unmatched. We knew from the beginning that our biggest enemy was going to be ourselves and that as far as roster and coaching there was no team better than us. That put pressure on our season because as we kept winning, we also kept having injuries and that forced us to step our game up and adjust constantly. Being able to win it all and prove to ourselves that what we believed was true, it’s an amazing and contagious feeling that we’ll carry into this next season.”
