Last Saturday the Oregon Ducks dispatched the WSU Cougars 51-26. Wazzu played very well and at half time trailed by only 4. However the Ducks were too much for the Cougs and ended all chances of an upset by scoring 21 points in the third quarter.

This weekend the 5-0 Ducks host the 3-1 Washington Huskies at Autzen Stadium. There is no love lost between the Dawgs and the Ducks, so the atmosphere at Autzen is sure to be electric. (The noise you hear is not an airplane taking off, its pre-kickoff.)
The annual UW-UO game has become the biggest rivalry in the Northwest. With a great deal of pride the Ducks are able to boast that they have won the past eight meetings, each by at least 17 points. But the Ducks were not always dominant. Back in 1994, as the Ducks were gaining strength on their way to their first Rose Bowl since 1958, they faced a strong Washington team ranked 9th in the nation. That day, October 22, 1994, produced the most famous event in Oregon Duck football history. All Duck fans know the play simply as “THE PICK.” Late in the fourth quarter, with Oregon leading by 4 points, the Huskies were driving for the winning score. On the 12th play of the drive, Husky quarterback Damon Huard threw an out pass to the corner of the endzone, Duck cornerback Kenny Wheaton jumped the route and…
