Halbes Dutzend Österreicher im Development Team

OL Cosmo Anders (VIK), DB Severin Haidacher (GIA), DB David Nader (DRA), DL Felix Schildorfer (RAN), DL Sebastian Schreiner (GIA), LB Fabian Seeber (RAI) und RB Johannes Streihammer (VIK) nahmen das Angebot, auf eigene Kosten in das Development Team der IFAF einzurücken, wahr. Für die sechs Spieler geht es in erster Linie darum, sich für höhere Aufgaben zu empfehlen.

Derzeit stehen am Roster der Weltauswahl, die in der International Bowl auf ein Auswahlteam der USA treffen wird, mit Laurinho Walch (WR, VIK) und Andreas Hofbauer (RB, RAI) zwei Junioren aus Österreich. Denen könnte am kommenden Mittwoch (Live auf FA) aber eine wesentliche Rolle in der Offensive der IFAF-Truppe spielen.

Team World Headoach Greg Marshall (CAN) stellte aber klar: „Es werden sich am Roster unseres Teams noch Lücken auftun, die wir füllen müssen. Es ist ideal für uns, im Development Team die nächste Klasse an Athleten beobachten zu können, die hierfür in Frage kommen“.
