IFAF is establishing the role of Managing Director to perform a wide range of functions to ensure the continued international growth of the sport. The candidate will establish the central office for the sport of American football and streamline communication between all IFAF members, coordinating activities across individual country federations to develop the sport on multiple levels. This position reports directly to the IFAF President and the IFAF Executive Committee.
Job Description:
Administration
Responsible for IFAF meetings, overseeing protocol, compiling relevant materials, providing administrative assistance to all IFAF committees and ensuring IFAF maintains World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) compliance.
Establish committee schedules and participate at some meetings. Distribute a quarterly committee summary report to all IFAF members.
Participate on all tournament committees for IFAF competitions.
Development
Responsible for overseeing training programs, liaising with the IFAF technical Committee and implementing online courses and offline clinics.
International Student Program – Oversee the running of this established US prep school program in conjunction with the consulting agency.
Communications
Oversee the IFAF Public Relations Director.
In conjunction with the IFAF President and/or IFAF Executive Committee member or as the sole representative, represent IFAF to the IOC, GAISF, media, politicians, IFAF country and continental federations, other sports federations.
Promote the importance of a re-launched IFAF website among all members.
Experience: This full time position requires a diverse background in administration & communication, with a solid understanding of the sport of American football on an international scale. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a top tier sporting organization at the level of Assistant Director or above with extensive contacts that they leverage to promote the IFAF mission. Exceptional writing, communication and presentation skills are a must. Travel is required.
