I’m sad to report, once again, Oregon has a “Stanford Problem.” This past weekend Oregon suffered its first loss of the year to Stanford 26-20. Stanford manhandled the Ducks for almost the entire game. The Ducks trialed 26-0 before scoring 20 unanswered points attempting a wild 4th quarter comeback. Again, Stanford has dashed the Ducks national championship hopes.
Stanford executed its game plan to perfection. The Stanford offense controlled the ball for over 42 minutes of the game giving the Ducks few chances to score. And when the Ducks did have a chance, they were unable to convert.
Game Highlights
This weekend Oregon faces Utah. This is Utah’s first visit to Autzen Stadium since entering the PAC-12 conference. The Utes couldn’t have picked a worse time to visit. The Ducks must respond to their first defeat. And the Duck fans are sure to be there to help. Here are two short videos to give you a feeling for what Autzen is like.
