Tory Cooper wird anscheinend der neue Runningback der Swarco Raiders Tirol. Zumindest sagt er das selbst. Die Raiders haben ein Engagement des Amerikaners noch nicht bestätigt.
Der 24-jährige US-Amerikaner spielte 2009 in Frankreich bei Thonon (Black Panthers), mit denen er Platz zwei in der französischen Meisterschaft erreichte. Ebenso standen die Raubkatzen im EFAF-Cup Finale, welches sie gegen ihre Namensvetter aus Prag (Panthers) verloren.
Er brachte es vergangene Saison auf 75 carries für 759 yards und acht Touchdowns, fing dazu 15 Pässe für 357 yards (!) und vier Touchdowns. In der Panthers Defense blieb er dazu mit 31 Tackles, zwei Interceptions, einem forced fumble und drei fumble recoveries auch nicht gerade unauffällig.
Der 1.93m große und 93 kg schwere Cooper spielte zuvor College Football am Military College of South Carolina – The Citadel (NCAA Div 1AA/Southern Conference) auf den Positionen Running Back, Defensive Back, Slot Receiver so wie als Punt- und Kickoff-Return Spezialist. Er heimste in der Zeit zahlreiche Auszeichnung ein (siehe Infobox).
Drei Deutsche zieht es nach Tirol
Neuzugänge in Tirol sind auch aus Deutschland zu verzeichnen. Runningback Paul Lasch, Wide Receiver Enrico Martini (beide Dresden Monarchs) und Tight End Philipp Heider (Kiel Baltic Hurricanes) sind bereits sei Herbst im heiligen Land. Nach Angaben der Raiders studieren alle drei in Innsbruck und seien in allen Belangen einheimischen Spielern gleichgestellt. Womit die drei Herren in Innsbruck ihren Lebensunterhalt bestreiten, sei allerdings nicht bekannt. Lasch und Heider gaben auf der Spielerbörse Europlayers an, nur für Geld und Sachleistungen Football spielen zu wollen.

Also helped the Panthers move from the # 12 ranked team in Europe to top 5 ranked team in Europe. Played Corner back and Safety as well as WR, RB, and Kick Returner.
