This Saturday the #7 Oregon Ducks travel to play the #5 Michigan State Spartans. The game is the best of the weekend and therefore ESPN’s Game Day will be at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing Michigan. This game’s implications are BIG!. The winner will be in poll position to earn a “College Football Playoff” spot, while the loser, although not eliminated, will be playing uphill throughout the remainder of the season. Because this game is an Inter-Conference game it will set a strength-of-schedule standard for the “CFP” selection committee. At the end of the season, a team that played and defeated strong opponents will be chosen over a team who played weak opponents.
Last season these two teams played an excellent game in Autzen Stadium. In that game the Ducks scored first and led 11:0 and 18:7. However the Spartans then scored two touchdowns to lead 18:24 at half time. To start the second half the Spartans kicked a field goal and led 18:27. But those three points were that last the Spartans would score. The Ducks finished the game scoring 28 unanswered points and won decisively 46:27. Here is a highlight video from that game.

For those of you who enjoy motivational videos here’s the Ducks’ pump-up video.
