The 2012 Rose Bowl pits the size and strength of the Big-10 champion Wisconsin Badgers against the speed and quickness of the Pac-12 champion Oregon Ducks. The game is expected to be a high scoring affair with Wisconsin averaging 44.8 points and 477 yards per game, while Oregon averages 46.2 points and 512 yards per contest.
Both teams have very strong running attacks. Oregon is led by junior RB LeMichael James, who leads the nation with an average of 146 yards per game. Wisconsin is led by the strong running of junior RB Montee Ball. This season Ball scored 38 touchdowns, one less than the record of 39 set by Barry Sanders in 1988. Wisconsin’s QB Russell Wilson perfectly compliments his teams running attack having thrown 28 touchdown passes and running for 5 more.

The Rose Bowl is a big game and the Ducks are the leaders in Football fashion. Therefore, just like for last year’s National Championship game, new uniforms are to be unveiled. Here’s the Nike news release.

Not only do the Ducks wear the best uniforms in college football, they make some of the best video too. Here’s the motivational video watched by the players prior to the Pac-12 championship game.

 One more?

Mike the Oregon Duck Fan reporting from Eugene Oregon, where it never rains, it only pours touchdowns!

P.S. The best game of the college bowl season might be the game the follows directly after the Duck game. For those of you in Austria with a DVR, be sure to record the Fiesta Bowl match-up of #4 Stanford against #3 Oklahoma State.
